Cork/Limerick/Shannon – Galway N20/N18

From Cork Airport or Ferry follow signs for Limerick / Galway

  • Distance to Limerick 65 miles (105 Km)
  • Take Limerick by-pass and drive in the direction of Ennis /Galway N18.

From Shannon Airport follow signs for Ennis/Galway

  • Approaching Oranmore take the 2nd exit on the roundabout. (Dual Carriageway)
  • At next  Roundabout take the 2nd exit N6
  • At the Martin roundabout  take 2nd exit, N6 for Galway City West.
  • At Lynch Roundabout take 2nd exit, N6
  • Pass Ballybrit racecourse on right and continue driving to next roundabout.  Take 2nd exit N6.
  • Proceed to Morris roundabout. Take  2nd exit  N6.
  • Proceed to Font roundabout. Take 2nd exit.
  • Proceed to Kirwan roundabout.  Take 2nd exit.  Pass Dunnes Stores Terryland on left.
  • Proceed to Bodkin roundabout.  Take 3rd exit N59 in direction of Clifden, cross over river Corrib via Qunicentennial Bridge.  At traffic lights drive straight through in direction of Salthill.
  • Proceed to Browne roundabout.  Take 3rd exit (2nd exit is into hospital grounds) follow Seamus Quirke Rd (R338).
  • Proceed to Deane roundabout.  Drive straight through and proceed to traffic lights at Cross Roads.
  • Take left turn onto Taylors Hill, approx. 0.5km from traffic lights on right

Dublin – Galway N6

  • Leaving Dublin Airport or Ferry take M50 motorway to M4 WEST.
  • From the M4 continue onto the M6 motorway direct to Galway
  • Upon leaving the M6 entering Galway, take the first exit off the roundabout and continue toward the next roundabout.
  • At the next round take the 3rd exit signposted Galway and continue onto the Dublin Road
  • At the end of the Dublin road, you will come to traffic lights at the Huntsman Inn, get into the left lane, for Salthill
  • Keep left and drive along the Lough Atalia Road, getting into lane for Salthill as you drive past the docks.
  • Cross the Wolfe Tone Bridge at the Spanish Arch and continue until the 3rd set of traffic lights (beside Super Valu)
  • Turn right at these lights and then continue straight ahead through 2 sets of traffic lights until you come to an island in the road.
  • At this point turn left into our garden.

Rosslare Ferry – Galway

  • N25 / N24 / N18  = 160 Miles (256 Km)
  • From Rosslare drive in the direction of Wexford (N25)
  • From Wexford to New Ross N25 (Approx 20 miles / 32 km)
  • Then New Ross to Clonmel N25/N24 via Waterford (Approx 20 miles / 32 km)
  • Take Clonmel by-pass and drive in the direction of Limerick via Tipperary N24
  • From Limerick follow directions as for Cork/Shannon

Galway City Centre – Taylors Hill

  • From Eyre Square turn left into Victoria Place and 2nd right onto Dock Rd.
  • Follow Dock Rd to Spanish Parade (Jury’s Car Park straight ahead)
  • Go across Wolfe Tone Bridge to Fr. Griffin Rd.
  • Pass through pedestrian lights and at next traffic lights take right turn onto The Crescent.
  • Proceed to traffic lights at bottom of Taylors Hill.
  • Drive straight through traffic lights  and continue for 1k straight through the next set of traffic lights. The Ardilaun is on left.
