LAUNCH OF NBCRI VALENTINE’S BALL 2012
The Ardilaun Hotel Galway plays host to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) annual Valentine’s Ball once again this year. The gala evening, which marks the start of Galway’s social calendar, is one of the charity’s major fundraising events and monies raised go to support breast cancer research carried out by Prof. Michael Kerin and his research team based at NUI Galway.
Due to the success of the charity’s many fundraising activities such as the Valentine’s Ball, NBCRI were recently able to donate One Million Euro towards the development of the Translational Research Facility at NUI Galway through the Galway University Foundation. One of the highlights of the night will be ‘Dial-A-Diamond’ event where guests have a chance to win stunning jewels donated by Cara Diamonds. The Ball takes place on Saturday 11th February with a champagne reception at 7.30pm followed by gala dinner, with music by ‘Oddity’ and dancing till late.
