This 3km long promenade stretches from Claddagh Quay to the famous Blackrock diving tower, making it a perfect spot for a refreshing run or a relaxing walk. You can admire the stunning views of the Burren hills across the bay, and benches are provided along the seafront for those who wish to catch their breath after the beautiful walk. Don't forget to follow the local tradition of kicking the wall upon completing your walk. 

Salthill Beach provides a picturesque backdrop for a family picnic across the water. Located only a 20 minute from the hotel, Brigit's Garden takes you on a magical journey into the heart of Celtic heritage and mythology, making it one of the truly outstanding places to visit in the West of Ireland. The award-winning Celtic Gardens are widely regarded as one of the most spectacular in Ireland, set within 11 acres of native woodland & wildflower meadows. Loughwell Farm Park is jam packed with activities for all ages, so you’ll find plenty to see and do whatever the weather. Loughwell Farm Park has many friendly animals including potbellied pigs, miniature ponies, sheep, goats, chickens, deer, alpacas and many more.

Indoors we have over 12000 sq. feet of fun activities including our super soft play structure with mega astro, twisty and drop slides. Pay a visit to Little Loughwell, our miniature Play Village with Teddy Bear’s Hospital, Post Office, Supermarket, Fire Station & Restaurant. Rinville Park is created around an ancient castle, a stately home and a fine estate demesne which dates from the 16th century, near the village of Oranmore in County Galway. With an extensive network of walks through woodlands, open farmland and by the sea, Rinville Park offers a recreational facility of outstanding quality and beauty. Look out for ravens, grey herons and otters among the fascinating fauna which can be observed in Rinville Park. While the flora includes cultivated and wildflowers, shrubs and trees. The Park has picnic areas and a children's playground and is open year-round. Admission is free.

The track located in the Liosban Industrial Estate which is a mere 10 minute drive from the hotel has been providing karting fun to everyone from 7 to 77! The 20,000 sq ft indoor track has been designed and engineered so that you get maximum fun from your karting experience. Galway City Karting has karts for junior from 7 years and up!

The heritage town of Gort can be found in south County Galway, about 37km south of Galway city on the N18. Just outside the town of Gort, is where you will find the beautiful Coole Park, formerly the estate of Lady Gregory but now a 1,000-acre nature reserve. As you stroll around Coole Park you will see different types of animals and mammals in their natural environments. Coole Park is also an important sanctuary for birds especially winter waterfowl. At Coole Park you will also find a very informative and educational Visitor’s Centre, which is well worth a visit. Here you can see audio-visual presentations about Lady Gregory herself and you will also see some exhibitions telling the story and history of Coole Park.

The park is open all year round and there is free admission to the grounds, so it is a great day out for the family. There is also a restaurant on site if you want to enjoy a wide selection of traditional Irish dishes.
